Jan. 2, 2024 – The Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation is now accepting group picnic reservations for the 2024 season. Reservations can be made by calling the Westchester County Parks permit office, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: (914) 231-4575.
Westchester County Executive George Latimer said, “Have your next celebration at a Westchester County Park near playgrounds, fields, pools and beaches that will keep guests entertained and provide beautiful scenery for the duration of your event.”
Commissioner of the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation, Kathy O’Connor said, “Our picnic areas and pavilions are popular party locations during the warm months. Reserve as soon as possible as spots fill up quickly.”
Picnicking, including outdoor pavilions, is allowed at the following parks:
- Blue Mountain Reservation, Peekskill
- Croton Gorge, Cortlandt
- Croton Point Park, Croton-on-Hudson
- George’s Island Park, Montrose
- Glen Island Park, New Rochelle
- Kensico Dam Plaza, Valhalla
- Ridge Road Park, Hartsdale
- Saxon Woods Park, White Plains
- Sprain Ridge Park, Yonkers
- Tibbetts Brook Park, Yonkers
- V.E. Macy Park, Ardsley
- Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Cross River
- Willson’s Woods Park, Mount Vernon
