Feb. 14, 2024 – There may be snow on the ground but summer is quickly approaching, and Muscoot Farm and its animals, trails and garden are ready as registration for Muscoot Farm’s Young Farmers Camp is open! That’s not all, Westchester County Parks’ Nature Camp registration will open Friday, Feb. 16 at noon, which offers children the chance to play in fields of green and learn about the land.
Youngsters entering grades Pre-k through nine will have the opportunity to explore and discover the natural environment of Westchester County with fun, hands-on experiences at our nature centers and Alfred B. DelBello Muscoot Farm.
Westchester County Executive George Latimer said, “Westchester County Parks is more than pools and beaches in the summer. These summer camp offerings from the Westchester County Parks Conservation Division are important in the sense that they not only provide children with a fun outlet to play in during the summer, but intertwine an educational element that teaches them about the natural world of where they live.”
Westchester County Park Commissioner Kathy O’Connor said, “Muscoot Farm and our nature centers have acres of beautiful space for children to play and learn during the summer. Our staff does an incredible job of putting together a schedule that combines fun and learning.”
One week sessions are offered for Muscoot Young Farmers Camp, Monday, July 1 through Friday, Aug. 16, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; $350 per camper per week. Campers are allowed one week max.
